Fort Worth Native Justin Ross started his journey at the age of six years old and has blazed a path with his music. Ross has joined the stage with many different artists over the years, performing and writing with some of the top writers in the United States, including Adam Hood, Joey Green, Zac Wilkerson, and Many more. He started his new project in 2002 with fiddle player Cory Vyse, soon after the pieces started to fit and Deadwood Revival was born.
As a member of Dynamic Rhythm Entertainment, AC was able to be a part of the Cutting Edge Haunted House Percussion Ensembles, The Dallas Mavericks Drumline, San Antonio Spurs Hype Quad, FC Dallas Soccer Club, and a bevy of corporate gigs. He was also a member of the Dallas Cowboys Rhythm and Blue Drumline from 2010-2012.
He started his professional drum set journey playing for the hip hop band, The Boxer's Brain. Then shortly afterward joining folk-rock/americana band, Loyal Sally. From taking gig after gig and subbing in for other bands, more opportunities came his way as he was asked to sit in with the latin/peruvian rock band, Mayta. The bassist from that band then asked him to join his soul/funk/reggae fusion band, The Effinays. Fast forward to 2020, he became a member of the pop-punk band, Further North.
In 2023 AC found his home with Deadwood Revival.
Cory started fiddle at the age of 9 under the training of Tobi Mercer and Dale Morris. He spent much of his youth playing in Competitions, earning him a scholarship for fiddle at Southplains College. In college he continued his education on fiddle and commercial music. After college he went out into the world playing and sharing the stage with a few well known groups, such as Cameran Nelson and Zane Williams. He as also jumped on the stage with Roger Creager, Casey Donahue, and Bri Bagwell. Cory is now happily married with a beautiful daughter and proud to put his focus into the Deadwood Band.
Bob Lee Simmons began playing the double bass at the age of 8, under the tutelage of his bass Yoda, Mr. Brian Peacock. over the years, he has performed in numerous groups in many styles; from classical, to jazz, funk, country, blues, polka, opera, punk, fusion, and more, just to name a few. Bob studied double bass performance at the University of Texas. He has spent his entire teaching and performing career collecting inspiration from the wonderful musicians he has been able to create with. the beautiful thing about music, after all, is that no matter what you play or listen to, there's only twelve notes, and we all get to play them.
